Roget's Thesaurus |
The Roget2000 hyperlinked thesaurus was proposed as a tool for semantic research by Dr. Rudolf Wille, founder of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA). The project follows conceptually from more 30 years of research by Dr Walter A. Sedelow Jr. and Dr Sally Yeates Sedelow (research & bibliography). It was implemented jointly by Dr Uta Priss and Dr John Old -- both of KETlab.
The data used in this project is derived largely from a database version of Roget's Thesaurus built from Project Gutenberg's free-text version of Roget's Thesaurus (copyright information), and WordNet (developed under the direction of Dr George Miller and Dr Christiane Fellbaum).
